Send Us Your Guess for This San Mateo County Location!
I was happy to hear from many of you this weekend about our posts from last week on San Mateo living, Redwood Shores homes, San Carlos real estate, Belmont homes and what Foster City has to offer.
Some of you thought we slighted your towns so here are some of the responses I heard…
- Hey – Aragon is a GREAT school!
- We agree! Aragon is a terrific school. In fact, GreatSchools.net rates Aragon High School an 8 out of 10. But, if you take the average score of all the schools across the districts in San Mateo and compare them to Belmont/Redwood Shores, it is slightly lower.
- Landfill only scares crazy people!
- Doesn’t matter to the market. If it scares away buyers (no matter who they are), that translates to lower property values.
- San Carlos has big box shopping! Look at all the new stores near Brittan.
- True – our oversight! Recently a Best Buy, TJMaxx, Home Goods and Ross Stores have opened in San Carlos near the freeway.
- True that Belmont doesn’t have a central downtown, but there is everything you’d want at Carlmont Shopping Center and throughout the city!
- There is a lot to offer at Carlmont Shopping Center and Belmont is centrally located, so the lack of a central downtown may not be a big issue to buyers.
- Foster City doesn’t have limited freeway accessibility! There are entrances for both 92 and 101.
- This is true – there are entrances for 92 and 101, but most of Foster City is situated far away from those entrances, making it a trek to get on them if you live towards the back of Foster City.
Again, thanks for the feedback and keep the responses coming!
