North Beach Pizza San Mateo

Twice now I have eaten at North Beach Pizza, located in Downtown San Mateo at 240 E 3rd Ave. Both times I’ve liked it.

North Beach Pizza San Mateo I Like Thick Crust, Alternative Pizza

I’m more the thick crust, alternative pizza kinda girl. What do I mean by alternative pizza? Well I’m not a big fan of the tomato sauce, but do like it as long as it is not overloaded, so I usually order light sauce. The thing I like about North Beach Pizza San Mateo is they have a thick crust option and don’t go crazy on the sauce.

You Can Even Order Online

There San Mateo restaurant is pretty small, so we’ve just always gotten it to go. A cool thing is you can order North Beach San Mateo pizza online and they deliver to San Mateo, Hillsborough, Foster City and Burlingame. So, if you are watching Texas vs. Nebraska or Georgia Tech vs. Clemson football like we were last Saturday night and the games are coming down to the wire, you can order it online and have it delivered. Something I will definitely do next time so I don’t miss half of the 4th Quarter driving to pick it up!

This time we ordered hamburger, mushroom and onion pizza and it was quite good. It was a bit overdone for my liking, but I consider that my mistake for not asking them to cook it light. At any rate, it was solid.
